2010 National Pageant - Required areas of competition…
GOWN: All age groups will model a gown. Contestants in Doll Baby-Petite may wear a long or short gown. All other age groups must wear a long gown. Gown should be age appropriate, showing your personality and flattering to you.
CASUAL WEAR (BABY-MRS.): Casual wear should be a stylish outfit out of the closet, fashionable, showing contestants style and personality (no jeans or sweats). Outfits should not be glitz or contain rhinestones. No props, please. All contestants will walk to the mic and introduce themselves in the parade of contestants prior to casual wear competition.
SPOKESMODEL - INTERVIEW (PRETEEN-MRS.): Each contestant should dress professionally; attire may be a dress, pantsuit, or business suit. Contestants will have a private five minute interview with the judge’s panel. Interview will give the judges an opportunity to get to know the contestant. Contestants should showcase their ability to interact with the public as a titleholder. Contestants should submit five copies of their fact sheet with their entry form.
SWIMSUIT (BABY-MRS.): Baby through Petite will model a one or two piece swimsuit, no shoes, no pro-am swimsuits, no cover ups or props. Pre-teen, Junior, Senior and Miss may model a one or two piece swimsuit with shoe of choice, no pro-am swimsuits, no cover ups or props. Mrs. contestants may wear a one or two piece swimsuit, shoe of choice with optional cover ups or wraps, no props or pro-am swimsuits. Please select a swimsuit that is flattering to YOU and compliments YOU! Rhinestones and sequins are acceptable, keep to a minimum in good taste. NO STRING BIKINIS!
COVER MISS (DOLL BABY-MRS.): This is an award judged on facial beauty only during gown competition. Show us that beautiful face, maybe it will be on a magazine cover one day! Awards given in each age division!
Optional areas of competition…
Contestants may enter one, two or all three optionals to qualify to win the overall high point titles! The highest optional score will be added to your scores from the required areas of competition to determine high point score. Age division winners are determined from scores in the required areas of competition only.
PHOTOGENIC – Submitted photos should be age appropriate and may be natural or slightly retouched. Pictures may be black & white or color and should be 8x10 in size. Headshots are recommended, without distractions. Photos should reflect contestant’s photogenic potential. You may submit photos at registration. If multiple photos are entered, photo with the highest score will be used for the age group photogenic award and count towards high point!
FASHION MODELING – Work that runway!! Let your personality shine. No pro-am modeling routines. Contestants should use the runway only. Clothes can be fun, but should be tasteful and age appropriate! Music will be upbeat and fast paced. Have a favorite song you want to use…just tell JasonZ! Scores do not count toward age division titles, award given in each age division and count towards high point!
2010 FEATURE OPTIONAL – 70’s Disco – Have some fun dressing in boot cut pants, hippie costumes, platform shoes, glitter make-up, wigs, body glitter, jewelry, blue eye shadow, loud clothes and lots of polyester. Let your personality shine, have some fun and show off your originality! Can be formal or casual! Props can be used if necessary! Scores do not count toward age division titles, award given in each age division and count toward high point! We will bring the lava lamps and bean bags!
